Data Deletion

Iris Studio respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains what data we store, how to request its deletion, and what happens when you do.

1. Data We Store

Iris Studio stores data in two places:

On your device (local)

The desktop application stores your creative work locally in a SQLite database on your computer. This includes AI-generated media, prompts, moodboards, collections, prompt templates, and search history. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use managed credits for AI generation.

On our servers

When you create an account, we store your account information (email, name, profile picture), workspace data (name, settings, team members), usage and billing records (generation requests, credit balance, subscription status), and any support conversations.

Facebook & Instagram data

If you connect your Facebook or Instagram account for social media scheduling, we store your access tokens, page/account identifiers, and scheduled post content. We do not store your Facebook or Instagram passwords.

2. How to Delete Your Data

Delete local data

Your local creative work is stored entirely on your device. You can delete it at any time by:

  • Uninstalling the Iris Studio desktop application
  • Manually deleting the application data folder:
    macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/iris-studio-desktop/Windows: %APPDATA%\iris-studio-desktop\

Delete server data

To request deletion of all data stored on our servers, including your account, workspace, usage history, and any connected social media tokens, send an email to dev@iristech.my with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • The email address associated with your Iris Studio account
  • Your workspace name (if applicable)

Delete Facebook & Instagram data

To remove your Facebook or Instagram connection and all associated data:

  • Disconnect the integration from your Iris Studio workspace settings
  • Revoke Iris Studio's access from your Facebook Business Integrations settings
  • Send a data deletion request to dev@iristech.my if you want to confirm all server-side Facebook/Instagram data has been removed

3. What Gets Deleted

When we process your data deletion request, we permanently remove:

  • Your account profile (email, name, profile picture)
  • Your workspace and all associated settings, members, and invites
  • All usage records (generation history, credit transactions)
  • Subscription and billing metadata (Stripe customer link)
  • Device registrations
  • Support conversations and feedback
  • Facebook and Instagram access tokens, page connections, and scheduled post data

4. What Is Not Deleted

  • Local data — Files stored on your device are not affected by a server-side deletion request. You must delete these manually.
  • Stripe records — Payment records retained by Stripe are subject to Stripe's own data retention policies and legal obligations.
  • AI provider logs — Generation requests previously processed by third-party AI providers (Replicate, Fal.ai, Kling AI) are subject to their respective data retention policies.
  • Anonymized analytics — Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained.

5. Processing Time

We aim to process all data deletion requests within 30 days of receiving your email. You will receive a confirmation once your data has been deleted.

If we need additional information to verify your identity or locate your data, we will contact you at the email address provided.
